17 March 2010 - preparing your term paper:
1) You are only required to submit 1 term paper. Pick the annotated bibliography OR the alternate book review. Do NOT write both.
2) The assignment is due 25 March 2010 (not 23 March 2010).
3) I suggested in class that you spread out the readings because Weeks 11 to 13 have (somewhat) extensive readings. However, if you are doing the annotated bibliography, you are expected to provide the thesis for each reading, including weeks 12 and 13 (there are no assigned readings for week 14). Still, I recommend that you carefully read the opening section of each article/chapter for weeks 12 and 13, and simply skim the rest of the article/chapter. That should be sufficient for you to identify the thesis. You can then revisit the article at a later date to prepare for the exam, and you'll not be overwhelmed preparing the annotated bibliography.
- Thursday, 18 March 2010 class cancelled.
